Understanding Guardian

In trials across diverse crops, Guardian has consistently improved root development and crop vigor by establishing AGBIOFILM® layers that enhance nutrient flow and stress relief. Research shows that fostering a rich microbial environment leads to better yields and crop quality through these key mechanisms:

  • Restoring beneficial microbial diversity
  • Enhancing nutrient exchange via AGBIOFILM®
  • Stimulating root growth and plant vigor
  • Reducing crop stress for improved resilience

Product Information

Guardian is a concentrated biological inoculum formulated with broad-spectrum, beneficial Bacillus and Trichoderma fungi species. Guardian is known as a Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR). This inoculum provides more than traditional plant nutrient uptake by promoting healthy soil biofilm on strategic root and plant surfaces. These AGBIOFILM® layers become strategic exchanges for nutrient flow and relief of crop stress. Carbon flows efficiently back and forth through these layers, carrying nutrients to the plant and sugars back to the microbes. This exchange is the key for effective yield increase Guardian is rich in food for microbes. Guardian is a liquid substrate to establish AGBIOFILM® ecosystems in the soil, on the leaf surface and in the root rhizosphere. Guardian applications provide the best means to transport, propagate, and stabilize biological cultures on these AGBIOFILM® surfaces. Guardian may stimulate root development, increase plant vigor, yield, and quality of produce.

RECOMMENDED Application

For all agricultural crops and applications. Apply 3-7 gallons per acre, 3-4 times per year on field crops. Also usable as foliar spray, fertigation, root drench, or in-furrow at planting. Mix 1.5-2.5 oz per gallon of water for root dips, foliar feed, or pre-irrigation; apply 1 gallon of mix per 100 linear feet of row. Contact a local Pharmgrade representative for specific rates and instructions. Compatible with many fertilizers and pesticides, always perform a jar test before mixing.

HANDLING AND STORAGE

Follow safety procedures. Skin contact may cause temporary staining; flush with water if exposed. Product is non-hazardous. Store in cone-bottomed tanks and agitate 10 minutes before use; 30 minutes if flat-bottomed. Avoid airblast or over-the-top agitation to prevent foaming; use defoamer if needed. Agitate every four weeks and before transfer or application. Do not store over 12 months. Keep out of reach of children. Contact poison control if ingested.

Why Choose Guardian

Guardian results from years of research into soil health and plant-microbe interactions. It combines a carefully selected blend of beneficial bacteria and fungi essential for building healthy soil biofilms and enhancing nutrient flow to plants. Guardian is a vital tool to boost your crop’s natural growth and resilience, improving nutrient uptake and overall plant performance in the following ways:

Restore:

Guardian replenishes beneficial microbes depleted by years of fumigant use, restoring the natural balance of the soil microbiome. This revitalized microbial community rebuilds soil structure and enhances overall soil health, creating the foundation for strong, healthy plants.

Enhance:

By establishing AGBIOFILM® ecosystems on roots and plant surfaces, Guardian enhances nutrient exchange and promotes efficient carbon flow between plants and microbes. This dynamic interaction boosts nutrient availability and helps plants better manage stress.

Support:

Guardian delivers a concentrated dose of powerful bacteria and fungi that stimulate root growth and increase plant vigor. These microbes not only support immediate crop needs but also improve long-term soil resilience and productivity.

How To Use Guardian

Guardian was designed to give growers a flexible, biology-first option for managing soilborne disease pressure without the restrictions of traditional fumigants. Unlike harsh chemistries, Guardian introduces a robust blend of beneficial microbes that work with your soil to improve overall health, support early root development, and accelerate residue breakdown. With no plant-back restrictions, it’s an ideal fit for tight spring planting windows and high-pressure rotations.

Recommended Rate of 15 gallons broadcast per acre. For transplanting, use a 1:15 Guardian-to-water ratio in root dips.

Guardian is a foundational product in the Pharmgrade lineup, created as a soil-first approach to managing disease pressure while building long-term biological strength. Unlike traditional fumigants, Guardian introduces high-performance microbial species that compete with harmful pathogens while enhancing organic matter breakdown and root zone health. Whether broadcast in the fall to help digest crop residue or applied in the spring with no plant-back restrictions, Guardian adapts to your timing and system.

This is not a short-term kill; it’s a long-term rebuild. Guardian supports soil structure, microbial biodiversity, and overall resilience. You’ll see improved emergence, better water infiltration, and healthier root systems—all without sacrificing your planting schedule. In a world where we push our soils hard, Guardian gives you a way to push back biologically.
